Fairtrade Fortnight events in Market Harborough

Thursday October 2nd on the town square, 9am – 2pm

The Fairtrade Town group will be at the Farmer’s Market selling the very popular Kilombero Rice. Again this year, the group will be taking up the challenge to sell 90kg of rice to fund the secondary school education for one child in Malawi for a year – but it needs your help!

Saturday October 4th under the Old Grammar School, 10am – 2pm

The Fairtrade Town group, together with the Friends of Oxfam, will have a stall selling homemade cakes, preserves, plants, bric-a-brac, Fairtrade chocolate and rice from Malawi.

Sunday October 5th at St Hugh’s Church, Northampton Road, from approx. 11am.

Fairtrade tea and coffee and other Fairtrade refreshments will be available after the morning service in return for donations to the Fairtrade Foundation, and there will be a small stall of Fairtrade goods.
